Enrolment Information

At Don Bosco Primary School is a Catholic Primary School for children from Prep/Foundation to Grade 6. We pride ourselves on providing strong, dynamic and progressive 21st-century education within a multi-aged structure.

General Enrolments

All enrolment applications will be given respectful consideration according to the Don Bosco Primary School enrolment criteria.

Prep Enrolments

Enrolments for Prep/Foundation for the following year will open in Term 2.

Out of School Hours Care is offered onsite from 6:30 am till 6:30 pm. The program is run by Youth Leadership Victoria in the Hall. Parent Handbooks are available from the Office.

School Tours

School tours are a great way to discover more about Don Bosco Primary School and have the opportunity to ask questions directly to one of our School Leaders.  School tours are held at various times throughout the year.

School Fees

In 2018 the fees and levies are:

  • School Fees (per family) ($370 x 4 terms) $1480.00

  • Capital Levy (per family) ($50 x 4 terms) $200.00

  • Curriculum Levy (per child) $120.00

  • Excursion Levy (per child) ($15 x 4 terms) $60.00

  • Senior Sports Fee (for Grade 5 and 6 children) $25.00

  • Graduation Fee (for Grade 6 children) $25.00

Extra Costs


A swimming program is conducted for students in Grade Prep to Grade 4. Invoices for this program are sent home in the term that the children participate in these lessons. The approximate cost for 8 lessons and transport in 2018 will be $120.


The Grade 5/6 students will also be going on a camp in Term 4 and the approximate cost will be $300.00. This figure will be included in the School fee invoice.


Enrolment Policy

Don Bosco Catholic Primary School will give priority to applications in the following order:

  • Children baptized as Catholics and residing within the boundaries of Don Bosco Catholic Primary School’s zone & siblings of children already attending Don Bosco P.S.

  • Catholic children¹ who are members of the Our Lady Help of Christians Parish, Narre Warren.

  • Catholic children from non-Catholic primary schools whose residential address is in Our Lady Help of Christians Parish, Narre Warren.

  • Catholic children who reside in other parishes and who could have gained enrolment in their parish school and have approval from their residential Parish Priest to enroll at Don Bosco P.S.

  • Children from families who belong to an Orthodox church.

  • Children whose parents/families desire and are committed to a Catholic education for their children. All students enrolled at Don Bosco P.S. must attend liturgies and R.E. lessons and other RE activities.
